Oil & Water – Gallery Reception & Exhibit

Oil & Water is a most impressive solo exhibition featuring the paintings and sculptures of Bryan Collins, who is not only a master of oils, but of watercolors and sculpture as well. Bryan’s ability to switch back and forth between the mediums, which have distinctly different techniques, is quite phenomenal. All are invited to attend the reception on Thursday, June 12, 6-9PM to meet the artist and view his incredible work in person. This show runs June 4-30. Born 1967 in Englewood, New Jersey, Bryan Collins was raised in a creative environment. Collins graduated Cum Laude from Pratt Institute with a BFA. For Collins, the essence of portraying a subject is comprehended only by virtue of its absence. Thus, not only do the environs explain the presence of people but people explain their environs; they literally require each other. His images appear as if they have been awaiting a spectator to awaken their magical potency.
