Peters Continues to Serve as Executive Director of the Main Street Business Alliance
Hackensack, NJ – The Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of John T. Peters as its new Executive Director. Peters, a seasoned executive with decades of experience in management, marketing, public relations, and technology, will continue his current role as Executive Director of the Main Street Business Alliance (MSBA) while leading HACPAC into its next phase of growth.
With a distinguished career that spans entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and public sector roles, Peters brings a wealth of expertise to HACPAC. He grew and successfully sold two companies, including a technology firm (where he was CEO) and an international tourism company he co-founded, both acquired by industry leaders. Notably, Peters also served as president of travel media at USA Today, overseeing large-scale operations. His recent leadership at the MSBA has contributed to the revitalization of Downtown Hackensack’s Special Improvement District, where, under his guidance, the area has seen significant growth and increased business engagement.
In addition to his executive roles, Peters is the author of Marketing on Main Street (BWC Press), a practical guide aimed at helping small business owners thrive. At HACPAC, he will collaborate closely with Gregory Liosi, the center’s long-standing Artistic Director, to further strengthen its position as a cultural hub in Bergen County.
“I am excited to take on this new role with HACPAC,” said Peters. “The MSBA and HACPAC already share a strong collaborative relationship, and I look forward to working alongside Greg, Lynne, the Board, and the city to continue transforming the center into a thriving destination for arts and culture.”
